Sunkisses a new money for mohegan, the casino that was shut down last month by the casino commission after allegations of gaming fraud, according to Sun-Sentinel reporter Steve Schoonover.
“The new money will go to the mohegans and the people that have been displaced,” said Sun-Kisses Chief Operating Officer John F. Brown, according the paper.
“They are very upset that the commission shut down the casino and it’s just a horrible decision.
They feel that this has impacted their business and the community in Mohegan.
We want to do all we can to make sure that they can continue to do business.”
Sun-Kitten’s CEO Steve Smith confirmed that the money will be used to help rebuild the mohelanas building at the mohengan casino in Moher, Mich.
He said that he believes the new money is part of a $15 million pledge from Sun-Sun, a New Jersey-based casino company that was acquired by Sun-Moon in 2016.
Sun-Sentinels website has more on the story.
Sunsonie casino is scheduled to reopen by the end of the year.
