By Greg Sandoval | Updated March 28, 2018 10:08:50 Master’s star-studded performance in the film ‘Star Trek Beyond’ was a smashing success, and now the star of the franchise has taken a back seat to a man who may not be a part of the upcoming film.
The news comes via the Hollywood Reporter which claims that while Rian Johnson will be a guest star in ‘Star War: The Force Awakens,’ the actor will not be on the big screen.
According to the report, the news comes as a surprise to many who were hoping that Rian would return for ‘Star Force,’ the sci-fi film set to be released in theaters this December.
Rian Johnson has been a huge fan of Star Wars since childhood and the ‘Star-Wars’ franchise was created by George Lucas.
But it looks like he might not be returning to the franchise at all.
The report states that the director is expected to make his return to the series next year and while he’s been a vocal fan of the movies, he may not have been able to pull off the massive feats he did with the original trilogy.
The film is expected in theaters on December 18.
